Former Vice President Joe Biden Wins South Carolina Primary

Forme Vice President Joe Biden claimed a major victory in the South Carolina Primary over the weekend. Biden also gained a whopping 35 delegates. This is his first win since entering the race. He respectively came in fifth in the previous New Hampshire Primary before leaping to second in the Nevada Caucus leading up to this vote.
Claiming second place was Senator Bernie Sanders, with the remaining 13 delegates. Taking third place was businessman Tom Steyer. However, shortly after the votes came in, Steyer announced his withdrawal from the race. The decision stemmed from his failure to gain traction in South Carolina, which was one of the states he heavily invested ad spending in. In a stunning announcement, former mayor Pete Buttigieg also announced his campaign withdrawal after coming in fourth in this latest primary. He said the decision was extremely difficult but felt it was important to continue work towards getting a democrat elected into office again.
