Harvey Weinstein Remains Under Observation at Hospital

Convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein is still in the hospital following his guilty verdict. Weinstein complained of heart palpitations, chest pains, and high blood pressure. He was expected to be released yesterday and brought to Rikers Island prison, but remains under observation at Bellevue hospital. His lawyers say he is alright but suffering from “significant medical issues”. This includes a back surgery gone wrong that forced Weinstein to need a walker throughout his trial. Also, it has been newly reported that Weinstein requires eye injections to prevent him from going blind. His lawyers have said Weinstein is secure at Bellevue. However, he is not handcuffed to his bed and is surrounded by family. After he is released, he will be brought to Rikers Island while he awaits his sentencing scheduled for March 11th. He faces a minimum of five years in prison. He will then be tried in LA for similar crimes.
