Wuhan Coronavirus Claims Over 2,120 Lives, Infects More Than 75,500 Worldwide

Over 2,120 people have died from the coronavirus and now over 75,500 are infected worldwide. Of those killed, eleven were outside mainland China. Two of those were elderly passengers on the Princess Diamond cruise ship. But despite this, authorities are seeing a drop in the number of cases at the very epicenter of the outbreak. Only 349 cases have been reported today in Hubei, China which is the lowest number they’ve seen in weeks. But this could be due to the fact that China has again changed parameters for what can be considered a “confirmed case” which now no longer counts “clinically confirmed” cases. 244 passengers on the Princess Diamond cruise ship were cleared and are set to disembark today. Yesterday 800 passengers were to be released, however only 443 made it off. The ship has been docked in Yokohoma, Japan for well over two weeks holding thousands of passengers after 44 people were infected.
