Kids Who Break Rules Make More Money as Adults
In 1968, research was done on 12-year-olds based on their intelligence, characteristics, behaviors and their parents’ socioeconomic status. 40 years later, experts followed up with the test subjects and discovered that those who were described by their teachers as “naughty” and frequently broke the rules were the highest income earners as adults. The study authors think they make more money because they’re not afraid to negotiate higher raises and instead of worrying about getting along with others, they focus on advancing their own interests.
