Hartsville Woman Charged with Arson, 1st Degree Attempted Murder

A woman has been arrested and charged with 1st degree attempted murder and arson in Hartsville. Michelle Kissiah was also charged with knowing and willful abuse of a vulnerable adult and public disorderly conduct. According to police, Kissiah attempted to “kill the victim by setting fire to a residence while the victim was inside.” The victim sustained great bodily injury but did survive. The incident is believed to have occurred on Boggy Swamp Circle earlier this week. Kissiah remains in custody without bond.
