Horry County Leaders Discussing Solutions for Flooding

Concerns are growing over the critical flooding of Intracoastal Waterway areas throughout Horry County. Many roads were closed down following the major winter storm last week which also knocked out power for thousands of South Carolina residents. While the power has been restored, roads are still barricaded due to the flooding. Only residents who live beyond the barriers are able to come and go as they please. But it’s still been very difficult for those people who are now saying the flooding has reached their front doors. Horry County is currently developing a long-term solution to deal with the rising water levels but they have said it will take time to figure out and implement.
