Local Fundraiser Over Weekend Benefited The Adaptive Surf Project

The 7th annual Oyster Roast and Bloody Mary Contest held yesterday was attended by thousands and helped benefit the Adaptive Surf Project. The contest featured tons of local vendors, merchants, chefs, live music, all-you-can-eat oysters and all-you-can sample bloody Mary’s. It is held every year in Murrells Inlet with proceeds for the event donated to non-profits that support environmental education and local ocean friendly projects. This year, proceeds went to the Adaptive Surf Project. Founded in 2014, the ASP builds adaptive surf boards for people with disabilities and also teaches them how to surf.
