Missing Mail

After residents in Chesapeake Virginia weren’t getting their mail an employee at their local post office was arrested. Jason Delacruz was caught with a public storage unit full of mail he didn’t deliver. He was renting the unit for $49 a month and began hiding the mail at the end of 2018 there were over 5,000 pieces inside of the unit. When asked why, he said he felt like he was under to much pressure and just couldn’t make time to complete his route. The USPS delivered the mail after it was discovered. He is scheduled to be sentenced next week- he could face a fine or up to 5 years in prison.
