Witness in Weinstein Trial Has Panic Attack on the Stand

An actress who testified in court against Harvey Weinstein had a panic attack while on the stand yesterday. Jessica Mann testified that the former movie mogul raped her among other things over the course of an “abusive relationship”. She then faced a series of challenging cross-examination questions over the course of four hours from Weinstein’s attorneys regarding this so called “relationship” and whether or not she was really a victim. It’s reported Mann burst into tears and suffered a full-on panic attack after reading aloud a letter she had written. Mann was still unable to regain her composure after a brief recess and left the courtroom gasping for air, stumbling, and screaming. The trial was adjourned for the day. Mann is expected to take the stand again today to finish reading her letter and giving testimony.
