Senate to Vote on Official Impeachment Tomorrow

President Trump’s defense team delivered their uninterrupted closing arguments yesterday and now senators will have their turn to give final statements today. In his final speech, undecided democratic Senator Joe Manchin called for the censure of the president for “behavior exhibited in the two articles of impeachment passed by the house” instead of completely removing him from office. He believes, as many do, the president’s official impeachment vote, to be held tomorrow, will almost certainly end in acquittal. He also believes a bipartisan majority will vote to censure the president. Meanwhile, the president is planning to give his third State of the Union address tonight. It’s reported the theme of his speech will be “The Great American Comeback” which is meant to feature his unwavering optimism about his impeachment trial and re-direct voters to thinking about the election.
