Kansas City Chiefs Win Super Bowl 54

The Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV 31 to 20 last night! The first and last time the Chiefs won a Super Bowl was in 1970, a half a century ago. The 2020 team was led by quarterback MVP Patrick Mahomes, now crowned Super Bowl MVP. At the half, the Chiefs were down by ten but they over came this deficit in the third and fourth quarters including a controversial touchdown made by Damien Williams that required much reviewing by officials before they confirmed their call. But it’s President Trump’s tweet congratulating the Chiefs that has people talking. The president originally wrote in his tweet “you represented the great state of Kansas and, in fact, the entire USA, so very well,” before realizing the mistake ten minutes later, deleting it and re-posting with the correct state of Missouri. But it was too late, hundreds of thousands of people had already seen it and shared it.
