High-Rise Apartment Fire in LA Injures Eleven
Eleven people are injured following a fire in a high-rise apartment building in Los Angeles yesterday morning. Among the eleven injured was a three-month-old baby. Two people are also in critical condition with many others suffering from smoke inhalation. Nobody jumped from the building, however it is reported two people did consider the option, including a man who was rescued while hanging off the edge of his balcony. Multiple people were airlifted to a nearby hospital from the building’s roof. The fire began on the sixth floor and spread to the seventh of a 25-floor apartment building. LA fire officials, arson investigators, and LAPD are currently working together to investigate what they are considering to be a suspicious fire. They have declined to comment on why they believe so. A shelter is being established for those who have been displaced because of the incident.
