Senate Impeachment Trial Continues to Unfold

The democrats have concluded their uninterrupted opening arguments and President Trump’s defense team began theirs. The defense team began with two hours of statements on Saturday, an amount of time which is considerably different from democrats who utilized over eight hours on their first day alone to make their case. However, both sides had hoped for a short Saturday morning meeting so they’d be able to take the rest of the weekend off. The president’s defense team still has about 22 hours left to make their arguments which will resume today. And in a shocking announcement, the New York times reported former National Security Advisor John Bolton claimed in his unpublished draft manuscript that President Trump told him in back August that he wanted to continue withholding military aid from Ukraine until investigations into democrats, including Joe Biden, were held.
