Senate Impeachment Trial Set To Begin Tomorrow

The official senate impeachment trial for President Trump begins tomorrow with opening arguments from both democrats and republicans. Both sides are preparing themselves for an hours long session that will most likely also send them into a closed session. Democrats will be fighting for a fair trial with witnesses while republicans are expected to give some push back. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is expected to offer multiple amendments to come to some sort of solution. Each amendment is expected to take at least two hours to debate. The president’s legal team will argue the actions taken by the president concerning Ukraine do not amount to an impeachable criminal offense. It’s reported senate republicans serving on the jury are more than willing to accept this new defense.
