Five People Stabbed in Rabbi’s Home

Following at least half a dozen anti-Semitic attacks in New York city, five people were seriously wounded during an attack in a Rabbi’s home. The incident occurred this weekend after the assailant, 37-year-old Grafton Thomas, broke into the Rabbi’s New York suburb home and stabbed five people with a machete. Up to 100 people had been gathered in the Rabbi’s home celebrating the seventh night of Hanukkah. All of the victims are currently being treated at a hospital with one in critical condition.
The incident is being deemed an act of domestic terrorism. Thomas has been charged with five counts of attempted murder and one count of burglary. He has plead not guilty due to mental illness and is being held on $5 million bond. The Rabbi, whose son was injured during the attack, has said “we will forge forward in faith”.
