Encouraging Locals to “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully”

WFXB, Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and former NFL player Ricky Sapp have teamed up to encourage 5th graders in our area to take the “I’m a Buddy, Not a Bully” pledge. It’s a way to inspire children to be kind to one another. Carolina Trust, WFXB and Sapp were out at Ocean Drive Elementary in North Myrtle Beach this morning to talk to the 5th graders there about joining in on the pledge. The idea behind “I’m a Buddy, Not a Bully” is to promote positive behavior, encourage students to prevent or report bullying, and engage schools, students, parents and the community in conversations about solutions.
