School Resource Officer Fired After Assaulting Minor
A North Carolina school resource officer faces assault charges after a video was released of him body slamming an eleven-year-old student in a hallway. The video shows the officer approaching the student, grabbing him and slamming him to the ground multiple times for no obvious reason. The Vance County middle school resource officer was placed on paid leave pending an investigation but has since been fired. He now faces criminal charges for assaulting a minor. “We are better than this. This child deserved better than this,” Superintendent Anthony Jackson said.
