Horry County Charities Team Up For Christmas
Organizations in Horry County are working together to make sure every child gets a present for Christmas this year. Still to be adopted for holiday shopping are about 300 children. The programs will benefit around 2,000 kids this year coming from various organizations like the Rape Crisis Center and Head Start. Charity organizer, Fred Nesta, says this is all in an effort to help normalize kids coming from tough backgrounds. He said “it’s too important to make sure all kids are taken care of.” It’s not okay to have some kids coming into school saying Santa got me this and that and when others received nothing.
