Pensacola Shooting Update
The Pensacola Shooting that occurred last week is officially being declared an act of terror despite the fact that officials still don’t know the true motive. A tweet was discovered to have been posted by the shooter quoting from terrorist organizations and shaming Americans for their treatment of Muslim people. While the true motive still remains unknown, declaring it a terrorist act will allow investigators to use certain investigative techniques they couldn’t before. Mohammed Alsham-Rani, who was a Saudi Arabian Air Force Officer, killed three sailors and injured several others last week when he opened fire in a classroom on the military air base. Mohammed was then killed by deputies after an exchange of gunfire.
the victims were Airman Mohammed Haitham, 19; Airman apprentice Cameron Walters, 21; and Ensin Joshua Watson, 23. All three men died running toward the gun fire in an effort to protect others. If not for their heroic acts of bravery, it could’ve been much worse.
