Impeachment Hearings

Right out of the gate, the impeachment hearings yesterday yielded some interesting debates.
Four constitutional lawyers met to discuss the grounds for impeachment in President Trump’s case. The panel consisted of three lawyers called forth by democrats and one by republicans. Within the first 90 minutes three roll call votes were called by republicans in supposed efforts of stalling and judiciary committee chairman Jerry Nadler made strong statements indicating Trump’s past shady dealings were indicators of future ones and pleaded for swift action before the 2020 election. And big news came today as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a statement today declaring that the House of Representatives will proceed with filing impeachment charges against President Trump, all on grounds of alleged abuse of power.
