Traffic Changes Planned for Garden City

The South Carolina Department of Transportation has proposed changes to three busy intersections in Garden City.

The projects along Kings Highway will cost a combined total of nearly $19.8 million. The locations of the improvements include the Garden City connector, Atlantic Avenue and Inlet Square Drive intersections. It will remove left turns onto Kings Highway from the side streets at the Garden City connector and Inlet Square drive and replace them with indirect left hand turns. Construction is expected to begin in the Winter of 2022 and be finished by the Summer on 2023.
