Giving Employees A 4-Day Work Week Has Surprising Results

Myrtle Beach, SC (WFXB)–The New Zealand firm “Perpetual Guardian” tested out a four day work week. The company slashed employee’s weekly hours from 40 to 32.  They hired two researchers to study the effects of the shorter work week.  The researchers found that staff were more creative, attendance was better, they were on time, and didn’t leave early or take long breaks during the shorter work weeks.

They also found that job performance was exactly the same, despite doing it over four days, instead of five.

Tommy and Abbi talk about how they’d adjust to a four day work week.
