Governor in Hot Water

Missouri's Governor has been indicted on a felony charge.

Missouri Governor Eric Greitens has been charged with felony invasion of privacy. It stems from an extramarital affair that Greitens admitted to last month. The republican governor said he did have sexual relations with a St. Louis hairdresser more than a year before his 2016 election. Authorities claim Greitens tried to blackmail the woman. They say he took a partially nude photo of her without her knowledge and threatened to go public with it if she spoke about the affair. The actual charge of invasion of privacy is based on Greitens uploading the photo to a computer others had access to. Greitens was taken into custody, booked and released.
