Denver Deputy Killed

A Colorado deputy is dead and several more injured after a barricaded suspect opened fire at an apartment complex in a Denver suburb.

Deputies were responding to a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex near Denver Sunday, when they came under fire. Police say they were shot at more than 100 times. At least four personnel were injured, all of them in their late twenties and early thirties. One Douglas County Deputy, 29-year-old Zackari Parrish was killed. Two civilians were also injured in the cross-fire and are expected to recover. The deceased gunman is said to be Iraq war veteran Matthew Riehl. He does not have a criminal history, but is known to police.
