Massage Parlor Mishandling

Almost 200 sexual misconduct claims have been lobbed at various Massage Envy locations, according to reports.

The nation’s largest massage chain, Massage Envy, is facing allegations that more than one-hundred and eighty clients claim they became victims of sexual misconduct, according to a report by news outlet BuzzFeed. The report cites police reports and lawsuits against Massage Envy spas, employees, and the national company, with many alleging claims were mishandled or ignored. Massage Envy says the complaints being reported spanned a period of more than fifteen years. BuzzFeed News says it found that except where laws demand it, Massage Envy does not compel franchisees to notify police of misconduct claims. Massage Envy says it it holds franchise owners accountable and has created rigorous policies for hiring, screening and training and has a zero-tolerance inappropriate touching policy and says employees undergo background checks.
