Accusatory Apologies

Comments between General John Kelly and Representative Frederica Wilson continue to draw ire from Congress.

More than 15 members of the congressional black caucus are demanding the chief of staff apologize to rep. Wilson, for claiming she took credit for securing funding for an FBI field office in Florida. However, video of Wilson speaking at that office dedication does not appear to show her taking any credit. General Kelly first made his comments while defending President Trump for allegedly disrespecting the widow of a fallen U.S. soldier from Wilson’s district. The Commander-in-Chief is also taking heat for supposedly forgetting the fallen soldier’s name, in that call. The CBC also isn’t happy about the President referring to the Congresswoman as ‘wacky’.
