Anticipating Irma

Hundreds of thousands are fleeing Hurricane Irma as the category 5 storm heads toward Florida.

It could be one of the country’s worst natural disasters. Hurricane Irma is headed right for south Florida. The national hurricane center says Irma will make a direct hit on Florida. Landfall s expected Saturday or Sunday, but it’s too soon to tell if it will be a category four or five storm. Uncertainty about the storm’s track and intensity have many trying their best to prepare. Even North Carolina and Georgia are bracing for the worst. Florida’s governor has ordered the closure of all schools, including universities, through Monday.
