Hornets Hire Mike Batiste As Assistant Coach
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Hornets have announced the hiring of Mike Batiste as an assistant coach for the 2017-2018 season.
Batiste joins the staff from the Brooklyn Nets, where he was a player development assistant for the 2016-2017 season. Â He served two seasons with the Canton Charge of the NBA Development League as an assistant coach.
A 1999 All Pac-10 performer at Arizona State, Batiste played 13 professional seasons overseas and one season in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies. Â He was named the Greek Basket League MVP in 2010.
