Dale Earnhardt Jr. Races in Last Coke 600 Before Retirement
CONCORD, NC – Sunday night’s 600 was bittersweet for fans of Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He will retire after the 2017 season.
The decision came after he was out for 18 races last season as he recovered from a concussion.
Fans say they’re disappointed he’s retiring but they understand why he’s doing it and support his decision.
“I kinda had a feeling it was coming. You know. I didn’t think it would be this soon, but I kinda had a feeling,” says fan Jimmy Gentile from Long Island, NY.
