Excitement Builds For The Start Of The Coca-Cola 600

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Coca-Cola 600 is two days away and preparations are in full swing ahead of the big race.

Black Hawk helicopters from Fort Bragg performed practice maneuvers over Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday morning. The race will feature a huge military extravaganza, including thousands of service men and woman and flyovers by four F-16 fighter jets, before it starts.

Fans were also celebrated by some of their favorite drivers, including an annual fan day put on by JR Motorsports. The event included giveaways and multiple autograph sessions with Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Josh Berry, Anthony Alfredo, and more.

Fans say Fan Day is something they count down to because it is basically a big block party.

The Coca-Cola 600 will start at 6pm on Sunday, May 28th.
