Panthers Re-sign Linebacker Jacobs To Two-Year Deal
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers announced the re-signing of linebacker Ben Jacobs to a two-year contract on Wednesday.
The former practice squad player played in every game for the Panthers in 2014 and 2015, leading the team in special teams tackles each season. Â Jacobs was set to become a restricted free agent before being re-signed.
Jacobs was released with an injury settlement at the beginning of the 2016 season. Â He returned for the last four games of the season, recording one special teams tackle.
