Steve Smith Sr. To Join NFL Network As Analyst
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former Carolina Panther Steve Smith Sr. has signed a multi-year contract to appear on the NFL Network as an analyst.
Smith Sr., who retired last month, will be featured on multiple shows and join a star-studded lineup of former players including Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders, and Marshall Faulk.
“I was blessed to have a long and productive playing career on the field but now it’s time to turn my attention to the business of covering the game and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining the team at NFL Network,” Smith said. “As the only network with a 100 percent focus on the sport I love, I was drawn to NFL Network and look forward to joining a team made up of many legends of the game.”
Agent 89 will also be included in the NFL Network’s Super Bowl coverage this weekend from Houston.
Known for his fiery personality and competitiveness, the future Hall of Fame wide receiver played 16 seasons in the NFL as a member of the Panthers and Baltimore Ravens.
