Survey breaks down America's preferred candy, state by state

When it comes to favorite Halloween candy — Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are king.

That’s the results of a survey by Influenster.

A survey of 40,000 people in all 50 states found Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kat and Butterfinger were the three top treats in every state in the U.S.

In South Carolina, residents prefer candy corn, and they are not alone. Oregon, Texas, Tennessee and Wyoming gobble up the sugary treat as well, making it the favorite in more states than any other candy. According to the survey, the Tar Heel State loves the peanut butter, chocolatey goodness of a Butterfinger.
