S.C. officials urge sightseers away from flooded neighborhoods

River residents say boaters are damaging their homes

Hurricane Matthew continues to take its toll on the Palmetto State, as almost 300,000 electric customers are still without power and threats of flooding are expected to continue for the next week or so, but officials now have another issue on their hands.

Waccamaw River residents say they are used to sightseers when the river floods, but speeding boats are creating even more damage to their flooded homes. River levels are still a major concern in South Carolina after Hurricane Matthew, as Waccamaw, Lumber and Little Peedee rivers will be under major flood watch until next week.
