Louisiana Under Water
The Governor of Louisiana says the federal government has declared a major disaster in the state following widespread flooding.
At least four people have been killed following days of torrential rains, some areas receiving close to two feet of rain in a 48-hour period. The widespread flooding has led to more than twenty-thousand rescues across the state. A major disaster declaration has been issued in several parishes because of the conditions. Some rivers have not crested yet while more rain is possible for some parts of the state on Monday and Tuesday. Despite the treacherous conditions, donations are arriving for those in need.
