Pocket Monster Madness

Growing concerns arise over the hottest new mobile app.

A mobile game downloaded more than five million times since first being released last Thursday, Pokémon Go, is now being linked to a rash of injuries, a robbery, and one user finding a dead body. Pokémon Company International and Niantic (the app’s creators) warn all players to avoid going out on excursions alone and to always be mindful of their surroundings while playing. Emergency fixes have also been made on the game, after the app initially allowed an unprecedented level of access into players personal information, including emails.
