Hillary Clinton has appeared to avoid charges for mishandling classified information while Secretary of State.

The FBI’s announcement is a big relief for the presumptive Democratic nominee. FBI Director Jim Comey cannot recommend any charges against Hillary Clinton after she mishandled classified information on a private e-mail server while serving as Secretary of State, but Comey was very critical of Clinton’s decisions. The case now goes to the Attorney General’s office, but AG Loretta Lynch is not expected to reverse the FBI’s decision.
