Fan Starts Petition For Thomas Davis Statue

Charlotte, N.C. – A Carolina Panthers’ Fan has started a petition to have a statue of Thomas Davis put outside of Bank Of America Stadium.

The creator of the petition acknowledges that statues are usually reserved for retired players, but hopes that the petition will “serve as a statement of our hope at that time”.

Many fans feel that Davis personifies the “Keep Pounding” mantra started by the late Sam Mills. Davis has spent his entire career with the Panthers and has over come three ACL surgeries in his career. He was named the Walter Payton Man of the year by the NFL for 2014.
