Panthers’ Thomas Davis Posts Injury Photo

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panther’s linebacker Thomas Davis got a lot of attention after Super Bowl 50 for posting a picture of his injured forearm.

Davis recently broke his right forearm but still played in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday like the injury never happened.

Davis has a metal plate surgically placed in his arm with 11 screws and 40 stitches. Doctors were able to put a protective cast over the arm so that he could participate in the game without any medical issues.

He posted to Instagram after the game a picture of his arm without the cast and the caption “This post is not about me, or how tough I am,” he wrote. “It’s not to shine any light on me or my injuries. Our team doctors and trainers did an amazing job giving me an opportunity to get back on the field. This post is strictly to show how much love I have for my brothers and #PantherNation. Thank you all for your support and we will #KeepPounding.-TD”.
