= “Driving Miss Daisy” performance
The Carolina Forest High School Drama Department will present Alfred Uhry’s 1988 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “Driving Miss Daisy,” Friday through Sunday, November 20-22, in the school auditorium. Uhry’s play was developed into a film which won three 1990 Oscars for best picture, best actress, and best screenplay. The story explores the special relationship that develops between a Jewish widow and her black driver during the Civil Rights era in Atlanta. Friday night’s show begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include light hors d’oeuvres in the lobby before the performance. The Saturday and Sunday performances begin at 3:30 p.m. Matinee audiences will enjoy the hors d’oeuvres after the show. Tickets are on sale for $12 in the Carolina Forest High School Main Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance to help with food estimates, but tickets will also be available at the door. For more information, contact Terri Cox at 843-236-7997.
