Greg Hardy’s Domestic Violence Jury Trial Begins

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The domestic-abuse jury trial against Panthers’ Greg Hardy begins Monday.  A judge will rule if cameras will be allowed in the courtroom and jury selection will begin.

Hardy, was convicted by a judge on assault charges that stemmed from an incident that involved his former girlfriend.  The woman, Nicole Holder, says Hardy assaulted her and threatened to kill her.  A judge found Hardy guilty but he appealed the decision which caused the case to go before a jury.

Hardy, a defensive end for the Carolina Panthers, only played in one NFL game during the 2014 season before he went on the commissioner’s exempt list, thus still getting paid more than $13 million for the year.
