A Special Commemorative Program on the library building’s first ten years will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Joseph T. Stukes Meeting Room. Speakers will include Dr. Fred Carter of Francis Marion University and Florence Downtown Development Director Ray Reich. Also present will be the building’s architect David Dixon, as well as representatives of the Drs. Bruce and Lee Foundation and Florence County Council. This program will highlight the library building’s first ten years and its contribution to downtown development. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
