Hurricane Evacuation Plan

Because the Grand Strand has not experienced a major hurricane since 1989, officials are concerned that locals have become complacent. Officials urge locals to be prepared for any hurricane season since we are in a hurricane prone area. NOAA has predicted a normal to below average hurricane season. Of course, this does not mean the Grand Strand will not get hit by a major hurricane this year. Anything can happen. Knowing what to do in case of a hurricane can save lives.
