(May 21, 1979 – July 6, 2011) Nichols- James Marshall “Jamie” Brogdon entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, July 6, 2011. Jamie, 32, died from injuries sustained in an accident June 27th. Born May 21, 1979 in Charleston, S.C., Jamie was the son of Marshall “Sam” Brogdon and Beverly Fax Brogdon of Nichols, S.C. Jamie was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Herbert Vinston Fax and his paternal grandfather, Thomas H. Brogdon, Sr. In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by his daughter, Storie Addiston Brogdon and his son, Kade Marshall Brogdon; their mother, Denise Smith Brogdon; his twin sister, Beth Brogdon Young and her husband, Billy Joe; his maternal grandmother, Opal Hooks Fax of Nichols and his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Graves Brogdon of Loris; three nieces, Hannah, Samantha, and Jessica Young; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including a special aunt, Ophelia Duncan of Nichols. The family will receive friends at 105 East Pee Dee Street in Nichols, S.C. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10004 in honor of Jamie‘s son, Kade, or to Hebron Colony Ministries, Inc., 356 Old Turnpike Road, Boone, N.C. 28607.
