Liston, Richard Charles

Richard Charles Liston, 82, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Quail Haven Village, Pinehurst. Dick was born March 26, 1929 in Three Rivers, MI to the late Dorothy Geraldine Hewes and Oscar Arnold Liston. He served his country in the Army Air Corp and retired to Pinehurst in 1992 following a career in sales management. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sis; sister Joyce Rehfeld and brother-in-law Roger of Guntersville, AL; stepson Jack Hanna and wife Diane of Easten, MD; stepdaughters Christina White and husband William of Towson, MD and Diane Slotke and husband Craig of Roland Park, MD; three step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; niece Gwenn Marchesano and nephew Ross Rehfeld. Memorial contributions may be made to Tin Whistles Educational and Research Foundation, Inc., 300 Hwy 5 South, Ste 4, Pinehurst, NC 28374 or charity of one‘s choice. Boles Funeral Home of Pinehurst is assisting the family. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Community Presbyterian Church in Pinehurst. Family will receive friends following the service.
