Shuler, Brenda

Brenda May Shuler, 68, of Darlington died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 1, 2011 in Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Darlington Memory Gardens. Mrs. Shuler was born in Danville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Freeman and Callie Minter. Mrs. Brenda was a member of Gospel Temple Worship Center in Florence. She loved flowers, working in her yards and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brenda also was a 20-year Victims Advocate for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. Surviving are her husband, Fred Shuler; her daughters, Donna (Tom) Carter of Florence; Debra Segars of Florida; Lisa Terry of Florence; Teresa (Nathan) Eldred of Florence and Kathy (Norman) Sutton of Florence; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her brother, Mike Freeman of Florence; and her sister, Carolyn Flinkbone of Florence. Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Marvin Terry, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 604 Potato House Road, Darlington.
