She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Joe and Sarah Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Terry Hooks and his wife Angie of Nichols; one daughter, Elizabeth “Pete” Jackson and her husband Rudy of Nichols, and two granddaughters, Meagan and Hannah Hooks.
