“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 Mr. Robert Lee Jordan was born on February 12, 1951 in Darlington, South Carolina. He was the son of Boyd Zimmerman and Anna Mae Jordan. On Saturday, June 11, 2011, he departed this earthly life at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC after an illness. “Bobby”, as he was lovingly called, was a 1969 graduate of Johnson High School, Timmonsville, SC. His profession was a self employed plasterer. He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Barbara Brown; a stepson, Anthony Brown; and two siblings, Shirley Jordan and Washington Pauley. Left to cherish precious memories are: his wife, Christine Brown Jordan of New Jersey; two daughters, Evelyn Fox of Woodbury, NJ and Felicia (Mark) Nero of Florence, SC; six grandchildren; four brothers, Louis (Ethel) Pauley of Hartsville, SC; John (Thelma) Jordan of Florence, SC; Allen (Olivia) Sowell of Decatur, GA and Eddie Zimmerman of Darlington, SC; three sisters, Jeannette (Larry) Hicks of Effingham, SC; Sarah (Tony) Ishmael and Linda (Lamar) Davis, both of Darlington, SC; one aunt, Sarah Smith of Darlington, SC; one uncle, Samuel Jordan of Darlington, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
