5/26/1924 – 6/5/2011 DARLINGTON- Maude Benson Capps Moody, age 87, died Sunday, June 05, 2011 at Honorage Nursing Center. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Florence Memorial Gardens and other times at the home of Walter and Wanda Capps, 708 N. Grove Park Road, Florence, SC. Mrs. Moody was born in Marion, SC, daughter of the late James Leonard Benson and Sallie Johnson Benson. She was married to the late James Walter Capps and after his death to the late Robert Moody. She was a housewife and enjoyed playing Bingo. She attended church services at Honorage Nursing Center. Surviving are three grandchildren: Mandy (Mike) Ham of Darlington, Walter Mitchell (Wanda)Capps and Carl Allen (Shawna) Capps, all of Florence; five great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Lib Staton of Darlington. She was preceded in death by a son, Walter Mitchell Capps and five brothers, J. Gabriel Benson, Van Benson, Doc Benson, Harry Benson and Ruth Benson.
