Sauls, Christine Lee

Christine Lee Sauls, widow of Reverend Tilmon Sauls, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Lake City Community Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Sauls was born on November 2, 1925, in Lake City, a daughter of the late Herbert J. Lee, Sr., and Lerotha Morris Lee. She was a homemaker and member of Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Sauls was first married to the late William Daugherty. Surviving are a sister, Lois Scurry of Lake City; brother, Alva E. Lee and his wife, Margie of Lake City; step-daughters, Jeanne MacPherson and her husband, Tom of Wilmington, NC, Ann Barrineau and her husband, Venroe of Turbeville and Margie Collins and her husband, Charles of Marion; sister-in-law, Margaret L. Yarborough of Scranton; five step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sauls was preceded in death by a step-son, William Sauls; brothers, Foster Lee and Herbert J. Lee, Jr., and a sister, Eula Mae Weaver. Memorials may be made to Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4450 Turbeville Hwy., Turbeville, SC 29162. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation for the excellent care given Mrs. Sauls by the Lake City/Scranton Convalescent Center and Lake City Community Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Lake City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Friday, June 3rd, at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Highway 378 ByPass, Scranton, SC.
